Josh is a second-generation cannabis grower from Humboldt County, California, and one of the founding partners of Highline Nursery. As founder of Humboldt Cheeba Works, Josh brings decades of hands-on cultivation experience across outdoor, mixed-light, and indoor environments. He is the pragmatic backbone of Highline's operations — focused on measurable results, strategic planning, and R&D that directly serves farmers' real-world needs. Josh is deeply committed to keeping craft cannabis alive through dependable, consistent clone and teen production. If it can't be grown, verified, and delivered reliably at scale, it doesn't make the cut.

Co- Founder Executive Director

Jonathan Monschke brings the vision that keeps Highline Nursery moving forward. A multi-generational cannabis operator with deep roots in Humboldt County's legacy cultivation community, Jonathan operates at the highest level of the company leading strategic planning across all current and future nursery operations throughout California and beyond. He identifies underserved markets in need of quality, reliable cannabis genetics and builds the partnerships that turn expansion opportunities into operational reality. Jonathan recognized early that the California cannabis market lacked truly proprietary, dependable, and unique genetics at nursery scale directly spurring the creation of Highline's in-house breeding, phenotype hunting, and cultivar testing programs. Equally critical to Highline's success, Jonathan works to unite leadership around a shared vision, ensuring that as the company expands across state lines, its standards, values, and farmer-first mission expand with it.

Co-Founder / Head of Cultivation

Evan is many things at Highline co-founder, head of cultivation, plant health guardian, breeder, and mentor. A legacy, multi-generational farmer, he grew up when Humboldt cultivation was about community and craft and has spent his career making sure those values aren't lost.

At Highline, Evan keeps every plant, cut, and genetic line clean across all facilities and personally proving every cultivar at his own farm, Magic People Family Farms, before it reaches a customer. His pheno selection is guided entirely by what outdoor farmers need: proven genetics, Humboldt-grade quality, consistency season after season. Beyond cultivation, Evan is Highline's moral compass. In an industry that can move fast and forget its roots, he's the reason Highline doesn't.

Chief Operations Officer

Jeremy Centeno is the connective tissue of Highline Nursery the mind that bridges generations of Humboldt craft cannabis knowledge with the data, systems, and operational discipline of a modern multi facility nursery. A multi generational farmer and nursery operator who grew up in Southern Humboldt, Jeremy carries the cultural DNA of California's most celebrated cannabis region into every expansion plan and standard operating procedure he builds. A UC Berkeley graduate, he brings an uncommon combination to the industry: deep roots in the craft, paired with the analytical rigor to make it scalable. As COO, Jeremy leads with accountability and integrity ensuring that as Highline grows, its standards don't just travel with it, they're built into everything.

Head of Genetics

Nelson Lindsley known throughout the cannabis world as "Poetry of Plants" is, simply put, a cannabis genetics guru. With over 20 years of direct indoor cultivation experience, Nelson has spent his career at the intersection of genetics, infrastructure, and the science of what makes a cannabis plant truly exceptional. He can source virtually any genetic on the market and where the market falls short, he breeds his own. Nelson brings a proprietary library of in-house genetics to Highline, providing a breeding foundation that most nurseries can only aspire to. What sets Nelson apart is his rare ability to read vastly different cannabis markets indoor, outdoor, commercial, craft and identify exactly what each one needs, then breed to meet that demand precisely. His expertise extends into facility infrastructure and lighting systems, making him as valuable in the design of a cultivation environment as he is in the genetics running inside it. At Highline, Nelson ensures the genetic catalog stays ahead of where the market is going.
